Philanthropy
Building mission-driven work rooted in service, leadership, and community-driven impact.
Do good, be well
Philanthropy is not separate from the work. It is an extension of how we build, lead, and show up.
Dr. Beauty & Dr. Beast are committed to building mission-driven brands and initiatives that contribute meaningfully to the communities they serve. This commitment is rooted in a shared ethos: being the change we want to see, not just advocating for it.
Long before launching businesses or platforms together, service has been central to this work. Beyond Dr. Alyza Brevard-Rodriguez’s decade of service to the United States Navy, both have spent years engaged in community care, advocacy, and leadership grounded in action. Since her separation from military service in 2022, Dr. Beast has intentionally continued serving others through her businesses, public scholarship, and direct community engagement.
Whether through wellness spaces like SW3AT Wellness, community-centered retail at The Other Side Dispensary, or personal advocacy efforts, this work prioritizes education access, wellness, safe communities, and the advancement of women and underserved populations.
Dr. Beast’s work is informed by her scholarship in leadership and women’s leadership studies. Dr. Beauty’s work centers young, college-aged women and the ecosystems and villages that support their success. Together, their approach to philanthropy is relational, sustained, and rooted in real community need.

This effort generated an estimated $50,000 in combined community and economic impact.
Community Initiative: Visit with the Bunny (2020–2024)What began as a spontaneous act of care during the uncertainty of early COVID became a beloved Jersey City tradition. In spring 2020, when Easter was abruptly canceled and the city shut down, Dr. Beast — newly a mother and deeply aware of how meaningful the Bunny visit is for children—found another way.
With a drop-top vehicle, a bunny suit, and a fellow community leader, she spent five hours driving through every ward of Jersey City, stopping curbside to greet children while respecting six-foot distancing. Over 10,000 residents tuned into the live stream as the Bunny rolled through nearly empty streets, bringing joy at a moment when families needed it most.In the years since, the Bunny has returned annually. As restrictions eased, the event evolved into an in-person community gathering hosted at SW3AT Wellness, featuring kid-friendly wellness programming like yoga and family activities—continuing the original mission of accessibility, joy, and community care.
Community Initiative: Toy Drive @ SW3AT Wellness

The collaboration resulted in thousands of toys distributed to families during the holiday season. This toy drive expanded community reach and reinforced long-term partnerships rooted in trust, care, and responsiveness to local needs.
Community Initiative: Jersey City Backpack Drive
Led through The Other Side Dispensary in partnership with Mysterious Ways, this backpack drive served families in the Heights and Greenville sections of Jersey City. The initiative resulted in over $5,000 in backpacks and school supplies donated, supporting thousands of children as they prepared for the school year.

We believe philanthropic impact is strongest when it is collaborative, community-informed, and responsive to real needs. Over the years, we have partnered with organizations such as Mysterious Ways and the JC Heights, Community First Organization, working alongside grassroots leaders and local organizations rooted in service.
This work is not about optics. It is about trust, proximity, and sustained commitment. If there is no alignment, it’s possible we decline the invitation. We are committed to non-performative work that has true roi in progress.
